Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Business Developer with proven experience in generating high-quality leads on Upwork and other freelancing platforms. The ideal candidate is proficient in establishing strong client relationships, communicating effectively, and developing clear and detailed scopes of work (SOW) for diverse projects. If you have an eye for identifying business opportunities, a knack for persuasive communication, and a strategic approach to managing client expectations, we’d love to meet you!

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation on Upwork:

  1. Identify and target potential clients on Upwork and other relevant freelancing platforms.
  2. Create compelling proposals that highlight our strengths and align with client needs.
  3. Regularly monitor Upwork for new job postings that match our services and qualifications.
  4. Maintain and optimize Upwork profile(s) to enhance visibility and credibility.

Client Communication and Relationship Management:

  1. Initiate contact with prospective clients and conduct introductory meetings to understand their requirements.
  2. Act as the primary point of contact, building rapport and trust with clients through regular and transparent communication.
  3. Address client questions, concerns, and expectations professionally and promptly.
  4. Negotiate project terms and agreements in line with company goals and client requirements.

Scope of Work (SOW) Development:

  1. Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather detailed project requirements.
  2. Develop clear, concise, and accurate scopes of work that outline project deliverables, timelines, budgets, and key milestones.
  3. Ensure SOW aligns with both client needs and company capabilities to prevent scope creep and misunderstandings.
  4. Regularly update SOWs based on project evolution and client feedback.

Market Analysis and Business Strategy:

  1. Conduct market research to stay informed on industry trends, client needs, and competitor activities.
  2. Identify and implement strategic initiatives to capture emerging market opportunities.
  3. Share insights and recommendations with senior leadership to influence business development strategies.

Collaboration and Reporting:

  1. Work closely with sales, marketing, and project management teams to streamline processes and meet client expectations.
  2. Provide regular updates on lead generation efforts, pipeline status, and client feedback.
  3. Document and report on sales metrics, conversion rates, and other key performance indicators.
