Job summary

Samba Bank Limited is seeking a seasoned branch banking professional to drive deposit growth, cross-sell products, and maintain high service standards across customer interactions. The successful candidate will manage NTB deposits and ensure compliance with KYC/AML regulations while upholding information security.

The role requires 5+ years in branch banking, strong communication and conflict management skills, and a proven sales track record.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of branch banking experience.
• Proven track record in sales.
• Strong communication, conflict management and customer services skills.
• Understanding of KYC/AML regulations and Operational Risk.

Responsibilities

• Uphold branch profitability by growth of low-cost deposit portfolio and managing the cost of funds.
• Ensure cross-sell of all products under the Banks’ product umbrella.
• Maintain & increase deposit portfolio as per the allocated budget.
• Ensure continuous acquisition of NTBs and build a strong NTB Deposit base.
• Deepen relationships with existing and potential customers.
• Ensure effective problem resolution by ensuring processes are followed.
• Handle administrative and HR issues concerning the floor.
• Uphold information security of Samba’s customer data.
• Maintain consistently high service delivery to all customers.
• Guide & manage customers ethically to build long-term relationships with the Bank.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant branch banking experience
• Proven track record in sales
• Strong communication, conflict management and customer services skills
• Understanding of and knowledge of KYC/AML regulations and Operational Risk

Key Responsibilities

• Uphold branch profitability by consistent growth of low-cost deposit portfolio and managing the overall cost of fund
• Ensure cross sell of all products under the Banks’ product umbrella
• Maintain & increase deposit portfolio as per the allocated budget
• Ensure continuous acquisition of NTBs and building a strong foundation with NTB Deposit
• Ensure deepening of overall existing and potential Customers
• Ensure effective problem resolution by ensuring that processes are understood & followed
• Responsible for all administrative and HR issues concerning the Floor
• Uphold all measures in an effort to ensure Information Security of Samba’s customer data
• Ensure consistently high service delivery to all customers
• Guide & manage customers in an ethical manner in an effort to ensure building and development of long term relationship with the Bank
