Job summary

RECH INTERNATIONAL in Sukkur invites applications for a Bio Medical Surgical Technologist to provide direct support in the Operation Theater. You will manage surgical instrumentation, assist surgeons during procedures, and ensure proper handling of implants and consumables.

Ideal candidates hold a BS or Diploma in Surgical Technology, with hands-on instrument knowledge, OT protocol familiarity, and the ability to work calmly under pressure. Up to one year of OT experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: BS / Diploma in Surgical Technology (or related field).
• Hands-on knowledge of surgical instruments, OT protocols, and strict attention to detail under pressure.
• Experience: Up to 1 year of relevant experience in an Operation Theater setup.

Responsibilities

• Surgical Support: Provide direct technical assistance to surgeons and operating room staff during assigned procedures.
• Instrument Inspection: Verify that all instrument sets are complete and fully functional before surgery. Inspect them post-procedure and report any damaged or missing items immediately.
• Intra-Operative Handling: Ensure correct implants and surgical tools are ready and handed to the operating surgeon to maintain a smooth workflow.
• Tray Management: Re-organize and store all instruments in their designated trays immediately after each procedure.
• Consumption Reporting: Send immediate post-surgery photos and details (patient info, surgeon name, hospital, procedure, implants/consumables used).
• Record Keeping: Paste all used implant stickers onto office sheets to maintain accurate consumption files.
