Job summary

Inspire Pakistan is seeking an Interpreter to provide accurate, impartial interpretation and language support during PARWA activities, ensuring language barriers do not hinder access to protection information and services.

The Interpreter provides language support only and does not undertake protection assessments, make case management decisions, or independently handle complaints or referrals.

Qualifications

• Preferably Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Humanities, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant interpretation, translation, or community work experience.
• Strong proficiency in Dari and/or Pashto, Urdu, and working knowledge of English.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate interpretation between Dari/Pashto and Urdu/English during project activities.
• Support interpretation during screenings, case management interactions, referrals, and trainings.
• Communicate information accurately without altering meaning or adding personal views.
• Ensure interpretation is respectful, impartial, and culturally appropriate.
• Coordinate with Protection Officers and field staff for interpretation needs.
