Job summary

FlexiRemote Solutions in Karachi is seeking a skilled Interpreter to facilitate communication between speakers of different languages. You will interpret conversations and translate documents, maintaining confidentiality and impartiality.

The role requires a minimum of two years’ interpreting experience, fluency in English and another language, and the ability to work independently, including irregular hours such as evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in interpretation translation or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as an interpreter.
• Fluency in English and at least one other language.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of cultural differences and ability to adapt accordingly.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in using interpretation equipment.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Accurately interpret conversations and speeches between individuals who do not speak the same language.
• Translate written documents from one language to another.
• Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times.
• Conduct research and prepare specialized vocabulary for upcoming assignments.
• Act as a cultural liaison to ensure effective communication between parties.
• Monitor tone and context of conversations to provide accurate interpretations.
