Job summary

Systems Limited is seeking a Backend Developer – AI Platform in Lahore to build scalable backend services powering multi-tenant AI workloads. You will design APIs, implement RAG pipelines, and integrate Azure/OpenAI models for production-grade AI platforms.

The role emphasizes security, observability, and reliability, with collaboration across AI/ML, frontend, DevOps, QA, and product teams to deliver end-to-end capabilities.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of strong hands-on backend development experience.
• Proficient in Python and/or .NET.
• Hands-on with FastAPI and/or Node.js.
• Strong RESTful API design and microservices knowledge.
• Experience building multi-tenant applications with tenant isolation.
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and MSAL.
• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Experience with Azure AI services (AI Search, Cosmos DB, Redis).
• Experience with OpenAI or Azure OpenAI integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices for multi-tenant AI platforms.
• Build secure, scalable multi-tenant APIs using Python/.NET and FastAPI/Node.js.
• Implement authentication and authorization using Microsoft Entra ID and MSAL.
• Design RAG pipelines including embeddings, chunking, indexing, and re-ranking.
• Integrate Azure AI Search for semantic/vector retrieval.
• Develop session/state/memory management via Redis.
• Enable real-time communication with Web PubSub and Cosmos DB streams.
• Integrate OpenAI/Azure OpenAI models via Azure Foundry APIs.
• Develop telemetry, logging, monitoring, and diagnostics across services.
• Containerize apps and support CI/CD with GitHub workflows.
