Job summary

Systems Limited is seeking an AI Platform Engineer with 6–12+ years of experience to design, build and operate the shared AI platform infrastructure that underpins every AI practice deployment in Islamabad.

You will own internal tooling and templates, standardize CI/CD pipelines for AI workloads, manage platform cost governance, bolster security, partner with MLOps engineers, and help practices self-serve through clear platform capabilities.

Qualifications

• 6–12+ years in platform/infrastructure engineering, with 2+ years supporting AI/ML workloads.
• Deep cloud infrastructure expertise (IaC, Kubernetes, networking, IAM), including hosting vector/graph databases.
• Experience building internal developer platforms and tooling, not just running infrastructure.
• Experience with managed AI/agent platforms (Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, Vertex AI) alongside self-hosted stacks.
• Familiarity with multi-tenant capacity planning and cost allocation.
• Experience with platform security hardening.
• Cross-practice stakeholder management — balances competing infra requests.
• Cost/capacity planning and ability to justify platform spend to leadership.
• Ability to document platform capabilities clearly for self-serve.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain shared AI platform infrastructure, including compute provisioning, networking, and IAM.
• Own internal tooling and templates used to deploy models and agents consistently.
• Standardize CI/CD pipelines for AI workloads across practices.
• Manage cost governance and capacity planning across engagements.
• Own platform security posture with AI Security Engineers.
• Collaborate with MLOps Engineers on the boundary between platform and workload operations.
• Balance infra requests from multiple practice leads.
• Document platform capabilities so practices can self-serve.
• Forecast and justify platform spend to leadership.
