About the job AWS DevOps Engineer - Remote

Overview of the company: Our clientis a next-gen AI-powered media platform fusing storytelling, Web3, and immersive experiences to shape the future of entertainment.

Role Overview: We're looking for a hands-on Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with strong AWS expertise to architect, manage, You'll be the technical lead for our infrastructure layer, from provisioning to performance, from pipelines to security. This is a high-trust role working directly with the founder and CTO. You'll design, build, and own our backend environment and evolve it as we scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable AWS infrastructure for our web platform and media services
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments using tools like GitHub Actions or AWSCodePipeline
• Manage AWS services including EC2, S3, CloudFront, Lambda, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, VPC, etc.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or CloudFormation
• Oversee platform security, including access control, monitoring, firewall rules, encryption, and secretsmanagement
• Integrate and manage Cloudflare (CDN, DNS, WAF, SSL) for global performance and protection
• Monitor costs and recommend optimisations to keep infrastructure lean and efficient
• Respond to technical issues or outages quickly and professionally
• Work closely with product and content teams to ensure smooth deployment and scaling
• Setup and configure development and staging environments for engineers
• Optimize various subsystems for scale from traffic to storage.
• Gain a deep understanding of the current architecture (based on AWS & Lightsail)

Required Skills & Experience

• 4 to6 years of experience in AWS infrastructure management.
• Deep understanding of AWS core services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, CloudFront)
• Strong DevOps and automation mindset (CI/CD, GitOps, pipelines, Terraform or CloudFormation)
• Working knowledge of Cloudflare (or similar CDN/DNS/WAF services)
• Good scripting skills (Bash, Python, etc.) for automations
• Security-first approach to cloud architecture
• Experience monitoring with CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus or similar
• Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and take ownership

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Docker and container orchestration (ECS, EKS, or Fargate)
• Exposure to Web3 backends, AI content workflows, or media streaming
• Familiarity with cost optimisation tools or FinOps
• Experience in a startup or early-stage tech environment
