Job summary

Motive is seeking a Business Strategy & Operations Analyst II to partner with Sales and GTM leaders. You will own recurring business rhythms end-to-end, develop automation to scale processes, and build tooling to drive decisions. You’ll transform manual work into AI agents, multi-system workflows, and data pipelines.

You will analyze pipeline, forecast, and KPI data, support territory planning, and ensure data integrity while collaborating with cross-functional teams across the organization.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in sales operations, revenue operations, business intelligence, or business strategy.
• SQL (mandatory): write and debug warehouse queries including joins, window functions, CTEs, and aggregation logic.
• Spreadsheet and CRM depth (mandatory): Advanced Google Sheets, plus Salesforce objects, fields, and reports.
• AI and automation building (core requirement): shipped automation using Glean, n8n, Apps Script, or comparable platforms.
• Hex or similar analytics tooling and Python are a strong advantage.
• Analytical judgment: frame vague requests into structured problems and defend assumptions.
• Communication: explain complex data models to non-technical leaders and narrate insights clearly.
• Ownership: chase answers across teams unprompted and coordinate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own recurring business reviews.
• Run weekly and quarterly business review cadence; reconcile numbers and tell the story behind movements.
• Build automation and data pipelines; ship AI agents and multi-system workflows.
• Drive analysis of pipeline, forecast, and productivity data to answer leadership questions with a recommendation.
• Support territory planning and coverage; collaborate with sales on design and capacity.
• Own quota, target, and KPI tracking with accurate performance definitions.
• Coordinate with Systems, Data Quality, Enablement, SDR, Marketing, and Finance to fix issues at source.
• Protect data integrity; implement QA across all outputs.
