Job summary

Big Entities in Lahore, onsite at DHA Phase 3, invites a Software QA tester for 1+ year of experience. Timings: 1 PM - 10 PM. The role centers on manual testing of web applications, creating and maintaining test cases, and logging defects to ensure quality.

You will collaborate with developers, product owners, and clients, perform regression testing, support requirement analysis with testability feedback, and clearly communicate testing progress and issues.

Qualifications

Experience

• 1 plus year of experience in Software Quality Assurance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing for web applications.
• Create, execute, and maintain test cases and test scenarios.
• Identify, document, and track software defects.
• Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure product quality.
• Participate in requirement analysis and provide testability feedback.
• Communicate testing progress and issues clearly.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and QA fundamentals.
• Good knowledge of test case design techniques.
• Understanding of functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with clients and participate in client discussions when required.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team.

Preferred Skills

• Basic knowledge of API testing.
• Basic understanding of SQL and databases.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with test automation (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar) is a plus.
• Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript or any programming language is an added advantage.
