Job summary

Getz Pharma in Karachi requires a seasoned Finance Controller to oversee the company’s financial health and reporting. You will lead accounting operations, drive policy improvements, and ensure accurate monthly and annual closings with senior management oversight.

Job description

The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization. With a focus on efficient operational management, the incumbent will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and informed decision-making.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management for them to make an informed decision.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of financial policies and procedures.
• Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data, and oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting and reporting functions.
• Manage the preparation and analysis of financial statements, and assist in various reports & assignments required to management.
• Lead in finalization of Controller’s letter on monthly business performance, and also help in the cost center and profit center hierarchy with respect to budget and business requirement.
• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders for the upkeep of the Profitability Analysis and SAP material Master fields.

Key Requirements:

• a minimum qualification of ACCA/CIMA or MBA
• a minimum of 6 to 8 years of relevant work experience (prior experience of preparation of Management & Financial Accounts and spearheading of monthly & annual closing)
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to drive process improvements and implement best practices.
• Advanced proficiency in SAP FICO and Microsoft Excel.
• High ethical standards and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
