We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President Scenario and Threat Intelligence Analyst.

Principal responsibilities

1. Manage threat intelligence, including current operating instructions, to inform group test plans.
2. Provide SME support to entity/regional threat intelligence teams to inform entity-level threat assessments and test plans.
3. Support the ongoing maintenance and improvements to the Operational Resilience Testing Strategy and delivery roadmap, in line with regulatory requirements and business priorities.
4. Collect, process, analyse, and disseminate threat intelligence at a Group Level to inform scenario library, planning, and test plans, supporting Entity Level interpretation.
5. Maintain and update the Group High-Level Threat Register and conduct ad hoc threat assessments to support scenario planning and testing. Maintain and update the Group scenarios library.
6. Support the review and maintenance of the Group Testing Strategy, Plan & Framework, and assist in developing, preparing, and executing the Group and Important Group Business Service (IGBS) scenario testing. Support follow-up actions from group-led tests.
7. Provide support to embed and sustain Operational Resilience scenario testing, acting as a trusted adviser and SME in complex Entity and IBS test planning and execution.
8. Support analysis of testing outcomes to derive insights that improve testing and resilience across the Group. Assist in designing and providing testing MI for effective decision-making.
9. Monitor, track, and report on observations and actions from group-led tests.
10. Support the definition, documentation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of vulnerability identification, assessment, and management processes.
11. Develop and maintain mechanisms for operational resilience scenario testing management information, ensuring clear visualization of tests undertaken and planned across HSBC and its entities.
12. Provide close support for Group OR scenario tests, including leading collaboration with other HSBC functions providing data for OR Testing.
13. Offer SME advice and support to regional testing teams regarding data analysis, sourcing, and interpretation.
14. Support governance of the Operational Resilience threat Intelligence and scenario testing frameworks, ensuring proper data control.
15. Support the digitization of Operational Resilience Testing, including developing digital-based sophisticated scenario testing methods.
