Responsibilities
- To arrange and give for students of MBBS / BDS Lectures/Seminars/Clinical & Practical skills small group discussions, Evaluation and Assessment according to curriculum.
- To facilitate the Postgraduate trainees (FCPS and DCPS) for Clinical Presentation, Small Group Discussion, Case based & problem-based teaching, Journal Club, Teaching Psychomotor skills and preparation for inter module examination and dissertation.
- To assist the Head of Department / Professor in organizing CPC/ clinical meetings and conferences in collaboration with other professional organizations.
- To Coordinate and facilitate faculty members and Postgraduate trainees in the area of research and development through continuous education and learning environment and facilitate their publications requirements as part of career development research activities of the department.
- To convey the knowledge for basic management of common problems of patients care, e.g. emergency treatment, management of emergencies and decision for appropriate treatment to develop clinical and practical skills of students.
- To assist and facilitate the Head of Department in conducting examinations of MBBS/ BDS.
- To ensure regular OPD sessions for continuing medical care and management / supervise new patients referred for specialist advice.
- To ensure regular clinical rounds of the ward to manage /supervise progress and care of the indoor patients.
- To conduct medical procedures in ward under supervision of senior consultants and develop proper monitoring mechanisms to ensure that all recommended diagnostics and investigations are carried out.
- To Provide specialist advice on medical problems of patients referred from other departments.
- To assess patients in the emergency department if required for consultancy.
- To ensure on-call commitments after regular duty hours to provide cover to the critical patients round the clock.
- To assist Head of Department / Professor in departmental confidential enquiries of mortalities.
- To manage, supervise and train PGs/ MOs/ HOs and other paramedical staff to ensure delivery of quality health services to the patients and enhance patients management skills of the staff.
- To prepare and monitor duty Rota of the department including paramedical staff and managing and resolving staff management and placement issues.
- To maintain close liaison with hospital administration to ensure proper ward management including patients clinical record and routine matters related to demand and supply and complaints.
- Must follow Islamic and medical ethics as per IIMCT mission statement.

- Qualification: MBBS and FCPS in Relevant Field (As per PM&DC Eligibility Criteria)
