Assistant Manager (Software Development)

Supervise software development and database administration activities to ensure high performance and data integrity of applications for Qasim International Container Terminal.

Job Specification

CRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE necessary to carry out the requirements of the position:

1. Graduate with additional qualifications in computer disciplines.
2. At least 5 years experience in enterprise-level Oracle software development.
3. Extensive experience in the analysis, development, and maintenance of business applications using Oracle 8i/9i, 11i, PL/SQL Developer, Web Application Server, Java, and web tools.
4. Possesses expert skills in the development of applications utilizing Oracle tools including Oracle PL/SQL, SQL Plus, SQL Loader, and experience with PL/SQL back-end programming - Database Triggers, Packages, Stored Procedures, Functions, and Management of Schema Objects.
5. Experienced in all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
6. Experienced in E-R modeling and relational & object-relational database concepts and coding. Excellent database normalization skills.
7. Experience in Oracle database administration.
8. Experience on Oracle Database on AIX would be an added advantage.
9. Performance tuning of databases, managing distributed/multiple databases on multi-platform environments.
10. Experience in using UNIX platform with sound knowledge of shell scripting.
11. Exposure to front-end tools.
12. Provide overall support to all QICT applications.
13. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
14. Ability to quickly learn programming languages and other applications/software.
15. Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
