Overview

Job purpose of Assistant shipping manager is support the Team Leader in providing overall management and supervision of the Shipping Team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all Team Members are following the Excel training program
• Ensure that proper product standards and warehouse procedures are met on a timely basis.
• Work with and support other functions in the DC such as buyers, transportation, accounting, etc.
• Establish and maintain collaborative, productive, and supportive working relationships with the Facility Leadership Team, Team Leaders, and all Team Members.
• Establish and maintain a positive work environment, which sustains an exceptionally high level of Team Member morale. Provide timely, thorough, Team Member performance feedback and evaluations as well as progressive disciplinary actions when needed.
• Assist with and help supervise the all operation processes of the Shipping Team
• Complete, refine, and produce operational productivity and analytical reports as well as other special projects as needed.
• Consistently communicate, model, and enforce company policies, core values, vision/goals, and safety rules
