Job Purpose
- Asst. Manager Power Planning will be a subject matter expert in Cell Sites Power Planning domain and will be responsible for detailed technical and budget planning of power systems for new sites, expansions, and operational sites. This includes analyzing load and load-shedding profiles, utilizing advanced technologies, and conducting total cost of ownership analysis.
- This position requires close collaboration with business partners and technical teams to prioritize and manage the end-to-end design and cost pipeline for power systems. It also involves coordinating with network deployment and construction teams to prioritize deployment pipelines and allocate resources effectively.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform detailed technical evaluation of power system requirements in CMPAK network.
- Manage budgeting and CAPEX evaluation for the Cell Sites Power Domain, including PR & PO processes, invoice verification, and investment capitalization.
- Prepare RFPs, conduct technical evaluations, and support contracting and delivery management for rectifier systems, battery banks, cabinets, solar and other energy/power systems, and DG procurement.
- Assist in power mapping and finalization of designs for new physical sites, USF projects, RAN expansions, power upgrades, and swaps for operational sites.
- Conduct trials to explore advanced power products.
- Analyze and evaluate installed power systems and upgrades to meet KPIs.
- Maintain databases for power systems, network availability, and PR/PO/delivery trackers.
- Support NOMC, regional, RAN, and transmission teams for ongoing projects and upgrades.
- Manage inventory for power systems, including reusability and disposal plans.
- Implement mid-term and long-term strategies for cell site power planning.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Telecommunication, or Power Engineering from a reputable institute.
