Job summary

Halan Microfinance Bank is seeking an Assistant Manager Internal Audit to plan, manage, and review comprehensive audits across operations, finance, and compliance. The candidate will oversee engagements from scoping through final reporting and coach staff to strengthen controls.

Responsibilities include leading audit teams, conducting branch and service-center audits, designing data samples, and ensuring compliance with SBP procedures and internal policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred from reputable institute.
• CA Inter or ACCA preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Fraud Investigations, preferably in a bank.

Job description

The Assistant Manager Internal Auditis responsible for planning, managing and reviewing comprehensive operational, financial and compliance audits, oversees engagements from initial scoping to final reporting, evaluates the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls, coaches senior and junior staff.

Experience / Qualification:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline, preferably Master's from reputable institute


• CA Inter ACCA preferred


• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Fraud Investigations preferably in a bank


• Must have exposure of working at Commercial banks/Microfinance banks/FIs.

Key Responsibilities:

• To lead and collaborate with team members on audit engagements assigned by the line manager in accordance with the scheduled plan


• Conduct audits of branches/ departments and service centers strictly in accordance with the approved annual audit plan


• Design and prepare samples data for comprehensive field and operational audits


• Perform scheduled and unannounced field visits to sampled branch and service center locations


• Review and verify all branch operational documents, workflows, and transaction trails.


• Ensure that bank branches fully comply with State Bank of Pakistan procedures, regulations, and internal bank policies.


• Drafting Audit reports of missions & review Auditees rectification remarks and ensure Evidences, while going through the working papers to ensure the completeness, accuracy and validity of audit findings and recommendations.


• To execute the Exit Meetings with the Auditees.
