Job summary

Sui Southern Gas Company Limited is seeking an Assistant Manager – Building Connections in Karachi to guide high-rise building customers through new gas connections, verify application documentation, and coordinate technical and safety assessments. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Guide domestic customers of high-rise buildings on the process of applying for new connection and receiving the application forms along with prerequisite documents.
• Verify that applications for new connections in buildings include comprehensive documentation, such as building information, proof of ownership, and details about the intended use of gas.
• Assist in conducting the detailed scrutiny of application forms and documents that customer has submitted with the application forms.
• Aid in providing recommendations for field activities involving a physical survey to evaluate the feasibility of installing a gas connection in the building.
• Ensure that surveyors thoroughly inspect the building's location, existing infrastructure, and safety considerations.
• Assist in conducting the technical assessment to evaluate the gas load pressure specifications, and other technical aspects based on the building's usage.
• Assist in ensuring that the building complies with safety standards, including ventilation requirements and the installation of necessary safety devices.
• Assist in offering suggestions to address safety concerns.
• After completion of site survey, forward the case for cost estimation that may include pipeline installation, meter installation, and any necessary infrastructure upgrades.
• Assist the Deputy Lead Manager to ensure that the verified documents, survey findings, technical assessment, safety compliance report, and cost estimation are submitted for internal approvals.
• Upon obtaining approvals, facilitate the arrangement to enter into a customer agreement with the building owner/occupant.
• Assist in ensuring that, upon the signing of agreements, appropriate instructions are conveyed to the installation team for connection installations.
• Upon completion of documentary process, assist in generating customer IDs in CC&B system for customer care and billing purposes.
• Assist in conducting the physical survey of existing disconnected customers and generate CC&B bill for cases that are approved for reconnection.
• The individual shall ensure compliance to the Enterprise Risk Management Framework enforced in the Company while performing job responsibilities in accordance with his assigned role.
• The individual shall ensure compliance to the Business Principles and Ethics Policy / Code of Conduct.
• Undertake any other assignment as instructed by the immediate supervisor.
