Job summary

The role covers monthly, quarterly and annual close, ensuring transactions are correctly recorded in Xero and Salesforce, supporting Gift Aid

Qualifications

• Experience in financial planning, budgeting and financial reporting.
• Experience with Xero accounting software and Salesforce required.
• Familiarity with charites or non-profit financial controls is a plus.

Job Summary

The Assistant Manager Finance (TCF - UK) will support the effective financial management and day-to-day finance operations of TCF UK. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting budgeting and financial reporting, managing transactions and reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and requirements, while contributing to the smooth and efficient functioning of the finance function.

Job Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Management

• Support the Finance Manager in preparing the annual budget, forecasts and financial plans.
• Assist with the preparation of the annual statutory accounts and support the external audit process.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Support the Finance Manager with financial information and analysis when required.
• Help improve overall cost efficiency, proactively monitoring costs and suggesting improvements where possible.

Financial Accounting

• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial and management accounts and reports.
• Ensure all transactions are accurately and appropriately recorded on the charity's financial system (Xero), including correct coding of income and expenditure and allocation of restricted and unrestricted funds.
• Ensure financial transactions are accurately recorded and allocated in Salesforce.
• Review transaction data in Salesforce for completeness and accuracy, investigating and flagging any missing, duplicated or incorrectly allocated entries.
• Carry out regular bank and control account reconciliations.
• Perform regular reconciliations between Salesforce and Xero to ensure consistency and accuracy across both systems.
• Process invoices, payments and receipts in a timely manner.
• Track expenses against approved budgets and report any variances.
• Assist the Finance Manager with the preparation and timely submission of Gift Aid claims.
• Prepare quarterly transfer allocations to TCF Pakistan.
• Assist with any other finance-related tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager.
