Job summary

ACCA, based in Lahore, Pakistan, is seeking an Assistant Manager - Accounts & Reporting to join our Finance team on a permanent basis. The role sits in Pakistan Lahore office and supports the Regional Financial Controller (APAC) in ensuring transactions are complete, accurate and compliant for periodic financial reports and robust accounting and tax work.

We're currently looking for an Assistant Manager - Accounts & Reporting on a permanent basis. This position sits within the Finance team. This role is based in our Pakistan Lahore office.

The Job

Reporting to the Regional Financial Controller (APAC), the role holder will ensure all transactions are complete, accurate and valid to ensure the accuracy of periodic financial reports and robust accounting & tax work.

• Support the RFC to maintain a documented system of controls over accounting transactions
• Ensure key financial processes are carried out according to the company's financial policies and procedures and Pakistan finance compliant framework
• Work with RFC to perform key financial tasks to deliver periodic financial information
• Support the RFC to develop new procedures in accordance with the company's policies where required
• Ensure general ledger accounts are reconciled in a timely manner and that lead schedules are maintained
• Adhere to the timetable set by the Group Financial Controller to perform financial close processes
• Support the RFC in maintaining a standard suite of performance reporting packs
• Collaborate closely with local market teams to ensure that all material variances are understood and risks are documented
• Support RFC with the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit
• Deliver improvements in service

The Person

We're looking for someone who:

• Strong accounting and tax knowledge
• Good written and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
• A proactive and enthusiastic attitude and ability to work on their own initiative with the ability to meet strict deadlines and attention to detail
• Demonstrate a keenness for continual improvement
• Good command of spoken and written English
• IT proficiency and good working knowledge of computer applications, particularly Windows
