Job summary

Contour Software Pvt Ltd in Karachi is hiring an Assistant Accountant to join the finance team. The role involves processing AR/AP invoices, recording bank transactions, and reconciliations related to bank and intercompany activities.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting and is familiar with Microsoft Dynamics GP and F&O. Strong English and Excel skills are required for accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable/receivable principles.
• Proficiency in English and MS Excel.
• Finalist or part qualified ACCA/ICAP or similar professional qualification.

Responsibilities

• Record day to day financial transactions and complete posting within GP & F&O.
• Verify transactions are recorded in correct ledger (AR vs AP).
• Post invoice batches and ensure correct references in GP/F&O.
• Process accounts payable by analyzing invoices and coding correctly.
• Process cash receipts/vendor payments in GP/F&O and apply to invoices.
• Reconcile AR/AP subledgers to the General Ledger.
• Perform weekly bank reconciliations and ensure updates.
• Assist monthly closing and meet reporting deadlines.
• Provide support during internal and external audits.

Job Description

The division is looking for an Assistant Accountant to workwithfinanceteam in Karachi. The duties include processingAR/AP invoices, recording banktransactionsand reconciliations related to bank and intercompany. Our ideal candidate holdsa bachelor’sdegree and is familiar with accounting software(Microsoft Dynamics GPand F&O).

Responsibilities

• Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process within GPand F&O.
• Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct ledger (AR vs AP).
• Posting invoices batches within the sales module and ensuring that the invoices are being referred correctly in GP/F&O.
• Process accounts payable by analyzing different invoices and making sure they are coded correctly, and posting them into GP/F&O.
• Process cash receipts/vendor payments in GP/F&Oand apply them against correct invoices.
• Reconciling the AR/AP subledger to the General Ledger.
• Performing weekly bank reconciliation to ensure all transactions are updated and posted.
• Assist the finance team with monthly closing and meeting the reporting deadlines.
• Provide support to finance team during internal and external audits.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
• Independent with the ability to prioritize and work to tight deadlines.
• Efficient, multi-taskingandgoal oriented.
• Proficiency in English and in MS Excel.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Finalist or part qualified Professional qualification (ACCA / ICAP or similar),Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
