Job summary

foodpanda in Pakistan is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive restaurant onboarding and partnerships across the city. You will work independently while coordinating with Supply, Live Ops, Sales, and Content teams to ensure timely onboarding and strong vendor performance.

The role requires 2–3 years in field sales or KAM, a self-starter mindset, and the ability to lead and develop teams, with focus on onboarding and incubating partner restaurants and driving commercial results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in sales/marketing or a related business field.
• 2–3 years of field sales or key account management experience.
• Strong work ethic, self-starter, integrity, and ability to lead and develop oneself and a high-performing team.
• Ability to understand all sales functional areas including Channel & Category Sales.

Responsibilities

• Conduct external face-to-face meetings with vendors and onboard partners, including providing onboarding training tailored to each partner.
• Onboard various restaurants and incubate them at different city locations.
• Collaborate with Supply, Live Ops, Sales, Account Management and Content teams to ensure tasks are accurate and timely.
• Research accounts, identify decision makers, and generate interest in foodpanda.
• Oversee newly onboarded vendors and drive platform performance including commercial metrics and internal tooling.
• Support vendor development after acquisition and assist onboarding and incubation processes.
• Manage and resolve vendor inquiries, issues, and escalations.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth vendor journeys and high vendor experience.
• Visit fields daily to ensure targeted shops onboard properly.
• Acquire remaining strategic brands for foodpanda in the region.
• Maintain logs and update inventory records on Salesforce.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct external face-to-face meetings with vendors, including furnishing the onboarding training manual tailored-fit for a specific partner, support in vendor issues and being in contact with them.
• Responsible for onboarding various Restaurants and incubation at different locations of the city.
• Work closely and proactively with the Supply, Live Operations, Sales, Account Management and Content Teams in ensuring all tasks and requirements are both accurate and conducted in a timely way.
• Research accounts, identify stakeholders/decision makers and generate interest about foodpanda.
• Oversee vendors that are newly onboarded to the platform and drive operational excellence within the platform on metrics including commercial performance, internal tools, systems, and any other special projects.
• Responsible for development of vendors after acquisition and maximizing their potential, including but not limited to supporting the onboarding and incubation process.
• Manage and resolve vendor-related inquiries, issues, and escalations.
• Ability to work with different teams (inter and intra-department) to ensure smooth vendor journey and high quality of vendor experience within the platform.
• Visiting fields on a daily basis to make sure all targeted shops are being onboarded properly.
• Responsible for bringing remaining strategic brands on the foodpanda portal and no key accounts and cuisine is missed from available restaurants in the assigned region.
• Maintaining the log and updating records of inventory on salesforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Sales/Marketing or business-related field.
• 2 to3 years experience of field sales or key account management.
• Must have strong work ethic, self-starter approach, integrity and demonstrated ability to lead and develop him/herself & a high performing team.
