Job summary

Contour Software, a global enterprise software company, is hiring for a Billing/Accounts Receivable role in its Karachi-based operations. You will manage customer billing in line with contracts, maintain contract data, and oversee tax and revenue recognition setup across multiple departments.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in AR or billing, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in Accounts Receivable, Billing, Transactional Finance, or a similar finance role.
• Experience processing customer billing and managing contract-related data.
• Strong reconciliation skills and ability to resolve discrepancies.
• Good understanding of financial controls and data accuracy requirements.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
• Excellent IT skills, including a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) or similar ERP is advantageous.
• Understanding of VAT/tax treatment within customer billing processes is beneficial.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across departments.

Responsibilities

• Process accurate and timely customer billing in accordance with contractual agreements.
• Create, maintain, and update customer contract records within the finance and billing systems.
• Review contracts to ensure correct billing, tax, and revenue recognition setup.
• Configure and maintain revenue recognition schedules per contract terms and policies.
• Validate customer contract data for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure correct tax treatment on invoices and contract setups.
• Raise credit notes and reissue invoices with proper justification.
• Investigate and approve billing adjustments per internal controls.
• Reconcile billing data against contracts and revenue schedules.
• Perform customer account reconciliations to keep balances accurate.
• Conduct invoice reconciliations to identify duplicates or missing invoices.
• Investigate billing queries with internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Commercial Ops, and Finance for accuracy.
• Support month-end activities through billing, revenue, and reconciliations.
• Maintain audit-ready financial records and documentation.
• Monitor and improve data quality across contracts, billing, and revenue systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve billing processes and controls.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
