Veeco Instruments Inc. is seeking an applications engineer in Boise, Idaho to develop new applications and support customer requests for ion beam systems. You will collaborate with service, manufacturing, and sales teams to drive product enhancements and new opportunities.

The role requires a strong technical background in thin film technologies, excellent communication, and the ability to travel occasionally to Veeco’s sites. Join a team focused on innovation and customer value.

Competenze

• BS degree in thin film technologies or related equipment; MS/PhD alternatives accepted
• 2+ years of customer support or management experience required
• Strong analytical and communication skills, travel to Plainview NY as needed

Mansioni

• Engages with customers to develop applications and drive demos for ion beam systems
• Develops and maintains best known methods (BKM) for process control and development
• Interfaces with customers, marketing, sales, and engineering to support product lines
• Provides on-the-job training to team members and partners
• Presents technical aspects of products to customers and sales channels
• Ensures operational quality and guides customers in operation and maintenance of systems
• Works with cross-functional teams to support revenue goals
