Job summary

World Business Lenders, LLC is seeking an Application Advocate to own the end-to-end lifecycle of an internal software application. You will serve as the primary link between users, leadership, technology teams, and stakeholders, owning the roadmap, requirements, delivery coordination, release readiness, adoption, and ongoing performance.

Responsibilities include gathering user needs, maintaining the backlog, coordinating testing, and ensuring successful deployments and post-release value

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/IS/CS/Business or related field.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Strong requirements gathering and backlog management.
• Ability to work 9:00-18:00 ET Monday–Friday.
• Excellent English communication.

Job description

• World Business Lenders (WBL) is a privately held portfolio lender specializing in real estate-secured business loans for underserved businesses. WBL operates with a fully remote, multinational workforce and an experienced executive leadership team


• Typically, the work schedule is from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, though additional hours may be required based on business needs

About The Role

• The Application Advocate is accountable for the end-to-end lifecycle and business success of an internally developed software application. The role serves as the primary connection between users, business leadership, technology teams, and other stakeholders.


• The Application Advocate owns the application's roadmap, requirements, delivery coordination, release readiness, adoption, ongoing performance, and continuous improvement. The Application Advocate is accountable for ensuring that the right work is identified, prioritized, delivered, adopted, and maintained, although other teams may perform the underlying development, testing, training, support, or infrastructure work

• Application Strategy and Ownership


• Serve as the primary point of accountability for the application throughout its lifecycle.


• Maintain its purpose, roadmap, stakeholders, dependencies, risks, and improvement opportunities.


• Requirements and Prioritization


• Gather and document user needs, business rules, requirements, and acceptance criteria.


• Maintain the backlog and recommend priorities based on value, urgency, risk, effort, and company objectives.


• Obtain business-sponsor approval for material requirements and policy decisions.


• Delivery Coordination


• Coordinate developers, users, vendors, and other contributors.


• Track scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, and decisions.


• Report progress and elevate delays, conflicts, or resource needs.


• Testing and Release Readiness


• Coordinate testing and business acceptance.


• Confirm that documentation, training, support, security, and operational preparations are complete.


• Recommend whether releases are ready to proceed and track post-release issues.


• Adoption and Value Realization


• Coordinate communications, training, and user support.


• Monitor usage, feedback, and achievement of intended business outcomes.


• Identify and address adoption or performance gaps.


• Operations and Maintenance


• Monitor application performance, incidents, support requests, defects, and recurring problems.


• Recommend priorities for maintenance, technical debt, and enhancements.


• Keep application, support, continuity, and recovery documentation current.


• Risk and Governance


• Coordinate required security, legal, compliance, audit, and internal-control reviews.


• Track risks, vulnerabilities, findings, and remediation commitments.


• Regularly report application health, delivery status, adoption, business value, and unresolved issues.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field

Work Requirements

• Must be available to work Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Eastern Time.


• Must have a stable internet connection and professional remote working setup.
