Job summary

Bestway Automotive is seeking an Assistant Manager – Technical Training to plan, coordinate, and deliver technical training programs for dealership technicians across the assigned region.

You will develop curricula, conduct assessments, and ensure audits of in-house training systems, working with Head Office to maintain technical publications, tools, and equipment. Strong collaboration with dealerships is essential to raise technical competencies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or related field.
  • 5–7 years in automotive technical training, after-sales, technical support, or dealership operations.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and service operations.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct technical training programs for dealership technicians to enhance technical skills and product knowledge.
  • Develop training curricula and specialized courses based on identified competency gaps and business requirements.
  • Conduct technical assessments and evaluate training program effectiveness.
  • Perform On-the-Job Training (OJT) for dealership technicians based on development needs.
  • Conduct dealership training audits to assess compliance and effectiveness of in-house training systems.
  • Coordinate examinations, assessments, and skill competitions with Head Office.
  • Manage regional training center inventory, publications, materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Coordinate with Head Office and dealerships for required diagnostic and technical materials.
  • Assess dealership tools and equipment and coordinate actions to address deficiencies.
  • Develop specialized technical training programs aligned with fleet customer requirements.
  • Monitor dealership technical capability and propose improvements.

Job description

The Assistant Manager – Technical Training is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering technical training programs for dealership technicians across the assigned region. The role focuses on improving technical competencies, conducting assessments and audits, and ensuring dealerships have the required technical resources, tools, and training systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and conduct technical training programs for dealership technicians to enhance technical skills and product knowledge.
  • Develop training curricula and specialized courses based on identified competency gaps and business requirements.
  • Conduct technical assessments and evaluate the effectiveness and relevance of training programs.
  • Conduct On-the-Job Training (OJT) for dealership technicians based on identified development needs.
  • Conduct dealership training audits to assess compliance and effectiveness of in-house training systems.
  • Coordinate technician examinations, assessments, and skill competitions with Head Office.
  • Manage regional training center inventory, technical publications, training materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Coordinate with Head Office and dealerships for required diagnostic and technical materials.

Job Specifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering or relevant discipline.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of relevant experience in automotive technical training, after-sales, technical support, or dealership operations.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and service operations.
  • Strong training, presentation, assessment, and stakeholder management skills.
