Job Responsibilities

1. Develop, implement, and monitor the clinic's budget;
2. Take inventory, and order necessary supplies and equipment;
3. Hire and train new employees;
4. Create new policies and procedures and ensure staff are aware of new changes;
5. Supervise staff and complete routine performance reviews;
6. Ensure the healthcare facility follows provincial/territorial and federal healthcare regulations;
7. Update patient medical records;
8. Comply with all legislation applicable to practicing medicine;
9. Conduct physical examinations, tests, or procedures to diagnose patients;
10. Maintain accurate medical records for all patients;
11. Make recommendations for lifestyle changes to improve the patient's quality of life;
12. Prescribe medication, treatment, or therapy to patients;
13. Explain test results and medical procedures to patients;
14. Train junior doctors and other healthcare professionals;
15. Consult with other doctors about the specialized needs of some patients.
