Job summary

People Perfect in Lahore, Pakistan, seeks an Accounts Officer / Accounts Executive to manage day-to-day accounting, entries in Odoo, payments, taxation, and compliance. You will maintain ledgers, support audits, and ensure timely financial reporting for local and regional operations.

You will prepare tax documentation, coordinate with tax challans, and ensure records meet regulatory requirements for Pakistan, Afghanistan, and UAE. Strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
• Professional or partially completed qualifications such as ACCA, CA, CMA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, taxation, or a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Post daily accounting entries in Odoo, including vendor invoices, payments, taxation-related entries, and other financial transactions.
• Maintain accurate ledgers and perform regular reconciliation of POS transactions and accounting records for clients.
• Ensure client-related accounting records and supporting documents are properly filed, complete, and up to date.
• Process payments for vendors, rent, utilities, internet bills, and other operational expenses accurately and within required timelines.
• Prepare and post payment vouchers in Odoo and maintain complete supporting documentation for all payments.
• Coordinate and forward tax challans and other required documentation for timely payments.
• Support the preparation of sales tax and withholding tax (WHT) returns and ensure required tax data is prepared on time for Pakistan, Afghanistan, and UAE operations.
• Prepare and issue income tax certificates for employees and clients within required deadlines.
• Maintain accurate and organized taxation records for compliance and reporting purposes.
• Provide accurate schedules, reconciliations, reports, and supporting information for internal and external audits.
• Ensure accounting entries, reconciliations, and reports are audit-ready and compliance files are properly maintained.
• Perform daily reconciliations and promptly identify and resolve discrepancies in accounting records.
• Complete ad hoc assignments and special projects assigned by the Assistant Manager/Manager Accounts within agreed timelines.
• Prepare required financial data and reports for management while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and quality of deliverables.
• Maintain proper financial documentation and ensure compliance with company accounting procedures and internal standards.
