Job summary

Eclat Accountants, a UK-based accountancy practice, is seeking an experienced Accounts Executive to join our growing team. The role covers year-end accounts for UK SMEs, UK Corporation Tax and Self Assessment returns, VAT, and bookkeeping with QuickBooks Online and Xero, liaising with UK clients and regulators.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a UK practice, excellent English, strong analytical and client-handling skills, and the ability to train and supervise junior staff while delivering

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in UK accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting and taxation.
• Ability to prepare accounts and tax returns independently.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong communication and client-handling skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end accounts for UK SMEs, including working papers, statutory accounts and filing with Companies House and HMRC.
• Prepare UK Corporation Tax Returns.
• Prepare UK Self Assessment Tax Returns.
• Bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online and Xero.
• Preparation of Management Accounts and report writing.
• Preparation and submission of VAT Returns.
• Liaising confidently with UK clients, HMRC, Companies House and other regulatory authorities via telephone and email.
• Training, supervising and reviewing the work of junior team members.

The Successful Candidate Must Have At Least 1.5 - 2 Years' Experience In a UK Accountancy Practice And Be Able To Work Independently On The Following

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of year-end accounts for UK SMEs, including: working papers, statutory accounts and filing with Companies House and HMRC
• Preparation of UK Corporation Tax Returns
• Preparation of UK Self Assessment Tax Returns
• Bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online and Xero
• Preparation of Management Accounts and report writing
• Preparation and submission of VAT Returns
• Liaising confidently with UK clients, HMRC, Companies House and other regulatory authorities via telephone and email
• Training, supervising and reviewing the work of junior team members

Essential Requirements
