Accounting Controller Sr Manager — Islamabad, Pakistan

BroadPeak is hiring a senior accounting leader — a hands-on Accounting Controller / Senior Manager — to lead our Islamabad accounting function. You lead a team of ten across the full spectrum of NetSuite accounting, own team and budget, and carry P&L responsibility for each company under management. You bring strong NetSuite accounting skills, deep technical accounting knowledge, and — above all — the ability to build and lead a team while delivering clean, audit-ready numbers and driving continuous improvement in controls, processes, and reporting for our US and international businesses.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

• Lead a team of tenacross different areas of NetSuite accounting — hiring, developing, structuring, and getting the best from the team.
• P&L responsibilityfor each company under management — accuracy, insight, and accountability for the numbers.
• Team budget— plan and manage it.
• Multi-company close on NetSuite— monthly, quarterly, and annual close, GL, AP/AR, and consolidations across all entities.
• Process ownership— the Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Record-to-Report (R2R), and intercompany elimination processes.
• Balance sheet integrity— reconciliations and roll-forwards across all entities, with a defined review cadence and a clear escalation process for aged or unreconciled items.
• Management reporting— the monthly management reporting package and performance-metrics dashboards for leadership.
• Annual audit— lead audit preparation and execution across the entities, supporting Group accounting leadership who holds the primary external-auditor relationship.
• Standards and technology— set the bar for accuracy and timeliness, and drive automation and AI to make the close faster, cleaner, and better controlled.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• A proven team leader— you’ve built and managed accounting teams, developed people, and owned outcomes. This is first and foremost a leadership role.
• Strong hands-on NetSuite accounting skills (required)— managing accounting for multiple companies/subsidiaries on NetSuite OneWorld: consolidations, intercompany, multi-currency.
• Technical accounting depth— multi-currency consolidation and CTA within NetSuite and the FX impact on reporting; ASC 606 / IFRS 15 revenue recognition, particularly given franchise accounting compliance.
• NetSuite implementation or migration experience— you’ve implemented or migrated a system, not only operated within an existing one, including building reconciliations and roll-forward processes within NetSuite rather than primarily in Excel.
• NetSuite certification or formal training— state which, and where and when you completed it — or verifiable equivalent hands-on multi-entity experience.
• US-company accounting experience (required)— monthly, quarterly, and annual close and filings, with strong US GAAP knowledge.
• Tax compliance— overseeing VAT and sales-tax compliance in coordination with third-party providers.
• P&L and budget ownership— you’ve been accountable for company P&Ls and managed a budget.
• Due diligence and business-combination accounting— exposure is a plus; you’ll support the integration of new entities as the Group grows.
• 10+ yearsof progressive accounting experience, including team management.
• A qualified accountant— ACCA, ACMA (ICMAP), CA (ICAP), CPA, or equivalent.
• A proactive improver— you drive improvements to controls, processes, and reporting rather than maintaining the status quo, and partner effectively with Accounting Leadership on operational improvements.
• Technology-forward— automation and AI across close, AP/AR, reconciliations, reporting. QuickBooks a plus.
• Fluent English, comfortable working directly with US and Dubai stakeholders.
• On-site in Islamabad, working US East Coast hours.
