Job summary

ACCA Careers (UK-based accountancy firm with a back-office in Pakistan) is seeking a qualified Accountant to join our growing team in Lahore. You will review bookkeeping, supervise junior staff, prepare VAT returns and year-end accounts, and support the UK accounting team with client tasks.

This role requires ACCA qualification, UK practice experience, strong knowledge of VAT, FRS 102/105, IFRS, and proficiency with Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or similar.

Qualifications

• ACCA qualified with UK accounting experience.
• Experience preparing accounts for SMEs/partnerships and VAT returns.
• Good knowledge of UK VAT, FRS 102/105, and IFRS.
• Experience with accountancy software (Xero/QuickBooks/Sage) and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Review bookkeeping work and supervise junior staff.
• Prepare UK VAT returns and full statutory accounts.
• Review trial balances, ledgers, and financial statements for errors.
• Support the UK accounting team with client tasks and deadlines.
• Communicate with the UK team and manage multiple clients.
