Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking a Power BI / SAP Reporting Consultant to support reporting, dashboard development, data analysis, and BI requirements across SAP and non-SAP data sources. You will work with functional, business, and technical teams to design, develop, enhance, and support Power BI reports.

The role involves gathering requirements, building SAP-based and cross-source reports, data modeling, and ensuring data accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in IT, CS, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with Power BI and SAP reporting across SAP and non-SAP data sources.
• Strong data modeling, DAX, and Power Query skills.
• Ability to gather requirements from stakeholders and translate into reporting solutions.
• Familiarity with SAP data structures and reporting layers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Collaborate with SAP functional teams to understand processes and translate requirements.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and modeling.
• Validate outputs by reconciling with SAP source systems.

We are looking for a Power BI / SAP Reporting Consultant to support reporting, dashboard development, data analysis, and business intelligence requirements across SAP-related processes. The resource will work closely with functional teams, business users, and technical teams to design, develop, enhance, and support Power BI reports using SAP and non-SAP data sources.

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models based on business requirements.
• Gather and analyze reporting requirements from business and functional stakeholders.
• Build reports using SAP data sources such as SAP BW, SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP HANA, and related reporting layers.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and modeling using Power Query, DAX, and other Power BI capabilities.
• Create meaningful visualizations and KPIs to support business decision-making.
• Work with SAP functional teams to understand business processes and translate requirements into reporting solutions.
• Support incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for reporting-related issues.
• Enhance existing Power BI reports based on business changes or process improvements.
• Validate report outputs by reconciling data against SAP source systems.
• Coordinate with technical teams for data access, integration, performance tuning, and deployment activities.
• Prepare and maintain documentation, including report specifications, data mapping, technical design, and user guides.
• Support testing activities, including unit testing, UAT support, defect resolution, and production deployment.
• Provide knowledge transfer and support to AMS and business users as needed.
• Strong hands-on experience in Power BI report and dashboard development.
• Good knowledge of Power Query, DAX, Azure, data modeling, and visualization best practices.
• Experience working with SAP data sources, preferably SAP BW, SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, or SAP HANA.
• Ability to understand SAP functional processes and reporting requirements.
• Experience in data validation, reconciliation, and issue analysis.
• Familiarity with incident, change request, and enhancement support processes.
• Good understanding of data integration concepts and reporting architecture.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with business users, functional consultants, and technical teams.
• Experience in an AMS/support environment is preferred.
• Experience with SAP BW queries, CDS views, HANA views, or SAP extractors.
• Knowledge of Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, or Manufacturing reporting.
• Experience with Power BI Service, workspace management, gateway configuration, and report publishing.
• Familiarity with SQL or basic database concepts.
• Experience in global SAP support or transformation projects.
• Understanding of access/security considerations for reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in Power BI and SAP reporting.
• Microsoft Power BI or SAP-related certification is an advantage.
