Job summary

Greensafe International Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a dedicated Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) cum Environmental Control Officer (ECO) to lead safety, health, and environmental initiatives on site. The role focuses on implementing the WSHMS and EMP, conducting inspections, assessing risks, and ensuring compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act and Environmental Public Health Act.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of construction sector experience.
• Registered MOM WSHO is mandatory.
• Registered NEA ECO is mandatory.
• Experience with bizSAFE Level 2 or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore WSH laws and environmental regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and report writing.

Responsibilities

• Assist Safety Manager/Project Manager in safety, health, environmental, and welfare matters to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Serve as the designated WSHO and ECO for the project.
• Implement, monitor, and maintain the WSHMS and EMP on site.
• Conduct daily site inspections, identify hazards, and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Ensure risk assessments and SWPs are implemented and followed.
• Investigate accidents, near misses, and environmental incidents and prepare reports.
• Monitor dust, noise, waste, water pollution, erosion control, and housekeeping.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and authorities (MOM, NEA).
• Conduct safety/environmental inductions and toolbox talks for project personnel.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly safety/environmental reports.
