Job summary

Greenmark Construction Pte Ltd on Jurong Island seeks a qualified Workplace Safety and Health Officer to support project safety and environmental compliance. You will act as WSHO and ECO, implement the WSHMS and EMP, and lead daily inspections to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions.

The role requires at least 3 years in construction, MOM registration as WSHO, and familiarity with bizSAFE Level 2. Strong communication and report writing are essential for success.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in construction.
• Must be a registered WSHO with MOM.
• Experience in developing and implementing Risk Management Plans (bizSAFE Level 2 or equivalent) is preferred.
• Good knowledge of Singapore WSH and environmental legislation, Codes of Practice, and industry standards.
• Strong communication, coordination, and report-writing skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to commence work immediately or within short notice.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Safety Manager/Project Manager in all workplace safety, health, environmental, and welfare matters.
• Serve as the designated WSHO and ECO for the project.
• Implement, monitor, and maintain the WSHMS and EMP.
• Conduct daily site safety, health, and environmental inspections and identify hazards.
• Ensure risk assessments, SWPs, and environmental controls are implemented.
• Investigate accidents, near misses, and environmental incidents with corrective actions.
• Monitor environmental controls such as dust, noise, waste management, and pollution control.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities (MOM, NEA).
• Conduct safety/environmental inductions and toolbox talks.
• Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly safety and environmental reports.
• Ensure compliance with applicable acts and project requirements.
• Promote a strong safety and environmental culture and drive improvements.
