Job summary

Embelo is seeking a mid-level Project Manager to lead Workforce Transformation projects from initiation through post-implementation support. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage client relationships, and ensure scope, timelines, and budgets are met while guiding clients through new ways of working.

Ideal candidates will have proven experience in technology or business transformation projects, strong WFT understanding, and PMP/PRINCE2 or Agile certification would be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing technology or business transformation projects, ideally in WFT, HR, or related systems.
• Strong understanding of workforce management processes and operational best practice.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
• Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile) would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of WFT projects, from planning to implementation and handover.
• Manage project scope, budgets, risks, and timelines, ensuring all deliverables meet client expectations.
• Facilitate workshops and requirements-gathering sessions with clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, SMEs, and consultants to ensure solutions meet client requirements.
• Monitor and report on project progress, escalating risks or issues as required.
• Build strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
• Help grow our team by contributing to best practices and mentoring colleagues.

We are growing our Cape Town capability to deliver world-class workforce management solutions and scale the Frontline XP operations. As a workforce transformation (WFT) Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of workforce management technology projects from initiation through to post-implementation support. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage client relationships, and ensure that project scope, timelines, and budgets are met — all while guiding clients through the transition to improved ways of working. Your ability to combine strong project management discipline with an understanding of WFT processes will be key to delivering measurable outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Lead end-to-end delivery of WFT projects, from planning to implementation and handover
• Manage project scope, budgets, risks, and timelines, ensuring all deliverables meet client expectations
• Facilitate workshops and requirements-gathering sessions with clients and stakeholders
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, SME’s, functional and technical consultants to ensure solutions align with business needs, best practices and meet client requirements
• Monitor and report on project progress, escalating risks or issues as required
• Build strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle
• Help grow our team by contributing to best practices, mentoring colleagues, and supporting internal initiatives that strengthen our delivery capability

• A collaborative, solutions-driven approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes
• Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile) would be advantageous

• BCom in Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Industrial Psychology or Human Resource Management, (or equivalent experience).
• Project Management Certifications: PRINCE2, PMP, CAPM, or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) preferred.
• Proven experience managing technology or business transformation projects, ideally in workforce management (UKG/Kronos, BlueYonder as examples), HRIS, or operational systems
• Solid understanding of workforce management processes and best practice for frontline operations
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to manage expectations and influence outcomes
• Experience working in a consulting, technology, or systems integration environment is advantageous
