Job summary

You will work with teammates to meet order deadlines, follow food safety standards, control portions, monitor stock, and help minimize waste while maintaining a clean, organized wok station in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook wok-based dishes according to established recipes, cooking techniques, and presentation standards.
• Perform ingredient preparation, including cutting, chopping, marinating, and portioning meats, seafood, vegetables, and other ingredients.
• Ensure proper wok cooking techniques, heat control, and cooking times to maintain food quality and consistency.
• Prepare sauces, seasonings, and other ingredients required for daily kitchen operations.
• Maintain proper food handling, storage, labeling, and FIFO procedures.
• Ensure all dishes meet the restaurant's standards for taste, quality, portion size, and presentation.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the wok station, cooking equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Monitor ingredient stocks and report shortages, spoilage, or equipment issues to the immediate supervisor.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards at all times.
• Assist in minimizing food waste through proper portion control and ingredient utilization.
• Coordinate with other kitchen team members to ensure timely and accurate preparation of orders.
• Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
