Job summary

Amentum, a global leader in engineering and technical services, seeks a WHE Certification Official to support a U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role focuses on certifying operators, maintaining records, and ensuring safety and compliance in a remote deployment environment.

You will conduct practical and written assessments, coordinate with site safety and training staff, and manage recertifications, audits, and documentation to keep equipment mission-ready.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in equipment operation, training, certification, or safety compliance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of wheeled handling equipment operations and safety practices.
• Must be able to travel internationally and hold a valid passport.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and document WHE certification programs per DoD standards.
• Evaluate operator proficiency and maintain certification records.
• Coordinate with supervisors, safety and training staff to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Schedule re-certifications, support inspections and audits, and track expirations.
• Support safe, mission-ready equipment operations in remote deployment environments.
