Job summary

Amentum seeks a Hazardous Cargo Inspector / Certifier to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. You will oversee HM/HW/ORW operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and certify outgoing shipments of hazardous cargo.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in hazardous materials or hazardous waste management.
• 5+ years operating hazardous material or waste facilities (HWSA/HAZMIN).
• Certification to inspect and certify outgoing hazardous cargo shipments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hazardous waste operations in compliance with DGFGS and plans.
• Conduct initial and refresher training for HMHW handlers, shippers, and transporters.
• Manage collection, packaging, transport and disposal of hazardous materials and waste.
• Oversee Hazardous Waste Storage Area, SHWAPs, and HAZMIN Reissue Center operations.
