BruntWork is seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist (SEO) to build and scale the digital marketing framework for a startup roofing services business launching in Sydney. You will lead organic and paid growth, partner with the business owner, and implement data-driven campaigns to drive revenue from a remote, startup-friendly setup.

The role requires proven agency or startup experience, strong knowledge of the Australian market, and the ability to work independently.

Job Overview

Our client is looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist (SEO) to establish and scale the digital marketing framework from the ground up for a startup roofing services business launching in Sydney. Serving as the primary marketing function, you will work closely alongside the business owner as a key strategic partner to build processes, execute data-driven campaigns, and take direct ownership of organic and paid growth initiatives.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM AEST, with 1 hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute SEO strategies to drive organic traffic and improve search rankings for a new market entrant.
• Create and manage a comprehensive content creation strategy aligned with business growth objectives.
• Plan, launch, and optimise pay-per-click advertising campaigns to maximise return on ad spend.
• Oversee marketing personnel, coordinate team efforts, and recruit additional marketing support as the business scales.
• Take ownership of revenue generation through data-driven digital marketing strategies.
• Monitor campaign performance metrics and adjust tactics to meet revenue targets.
• Contribute to overall business strategy beyond marketing, acting as a strategic partner to the business owner.

Requirements

• Proven experience working within or for a digital marketing agency, with demonstrable results in scaling businesses.
• Strong understanding of the Australian market, particularly within the construction or services industry.
• Ability to develop and execute end-to-end marketing strategies independently in a startup environment.
• High level of accountability and comfort with being directly responsible for revenue outcomes.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable growth strategies.
