Overview
Our client is looking for a part-time Content Production Assistant & Video Editor (CapCut, Canva, Claude, Buffer)to support the day-to-day execution of their social media content pipeline. In this role, you will help turn creative ideas into polished, scheduled content by editing short-form videos, creating carousels, and managing production workflows using AI tools. Operating on a flexible 15-hour weekly schedule, this opportunity rewards organized, detail-oriented individuals with long-term potential to grow into a full-time position.
Schedule
- 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (This role offers a flexible schedule, as long as deadlines are consistently met and deliverables are completed on time)
Responsibilities
- Edit short-form videos using CapCut
- Create carousel posts using Claude, Canva, and existing templates
- Upload and schedule approved content through Buffer
- Research social media trends, content ideas, and TikTok Shop opportunities
- Use AI tools and existing systems to prepare first drafts of scripts
- Organize content assets and help manage the content production schedule
- Track deliverables, revisions, and publishing deadlines to ensure content is completed accurately and on time
- Work independently while maintaining quality, consistency, and alignment with content goals
Requirements
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Strong video editing ability, especially for short-form content
- Experience using CapCut for editing social media videos
- Proficiency with Canva and comfort working from established templates
- Familiarity with Claude or similar AI tools for drafting and content support
- Experience using Buffer or similar social media scheduling tools
- Strong social media instincts, including an understanding of what makes content engaging and platform-appropriate
- Strong research skills for identifying content trends, topic opportunities, and emerging platform features
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple content tasks at once
- High attention to detail across editing, formatting, scheduling, and quality control
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong sense of ownership, follow-through, and accountability
- Proven reliability in meeting deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting a content creator, brand, founder, or social media team
- Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram, and short-form content workflows
- Experience working with approval-based content pipelines and revision cycles
- Confidence using AI to accelerate content production while maintaining quality and accuracy
- Ability to spot inconsistencies in tone, formatting, captions, and asset organization
How the flexible schedule would work
- The role is structured around output and deadlines, not set daily hours.
- The assistant can distribute their approximately 15 hours per week across the week in a way that supports content deadlines.
- Availability for immediate same-day revisions is not required.
- Standard revisions should be completed within one business day.
- The candidate should maintain consistent communication, stay on top of the production calendar, and proactively flag any risks to deadlines.
- A regular weekly planning check-in or content review rhythm may be used to keep deliverables on track.
