Job summary

BruntWork seeks a Medical Billing and Bookkeeping Specialist to own billing, authorizations, and books for a purpose-driven treatment organization. You’ll work remotely, manage Medicaid/Medicare claims, and maintain records to ensure cash flow and uninterrupted client services.

Training on Carlin and EHR usage is provided, with strong emphasis on accuracy and deadlines. The role offers remote, part-time work with flexible hours in EST, and independent contractor perks including permanent work

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Medicaid and Medicare billing in the U.S.
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks and general bookkeeping
• Familiarity with mental health and substance abuse billing and authorizations is preferred
• Experience with Carlin is preferred, though training can be provided
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
• Bonus: if you have worked with Maryland Medicaid billing and authorization processes
• Bonus: if you have supported a healthcare or behavioral health organization
• Nice to have: it helps if you have worked within an EHR system

Job Overview

Our client is looking for a Medical Billing and Bookkeeping Specialist who will be the dedicated owner of billing, authorizations and bookkeeping for a purpose-driven treatment organization. Your accuracy and follow-through will keep cash flow steady and let new clients start services without payment delays. You will work independently inside the client's own EHR system, with a walkthrough provided. You will take these tasks off the founder's plate, and your work will directly support the organization's growth and the care it delivers.

Schedule

Remote, Part Time | Flexible within 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST (Possibly starting around 10:00 AM).
