Job summary

A leading shipping company in the Philippines is seeking a competent Welder with relevant seagoing experience. The ideal candidate will be willing to be trained and able to contribute to the vessel's commitments. Responsibilities include proper maintenance of tools and welding on deck and engine. Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months sea service experience as Welder.
• Working knowledge of spoken English.
• Basic knowledge of ISM, ISPS, and security related duties.
• Knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Knowledge of Emergency Procedures (Fire-Abandonship-Man overboard-Oil Spill).
• Awareness of Safety meetings, reporting near miss, incidents, accidents.
• Certificates compliant to STCW 2010 Manila amendments requirements.
• Minimum 12 months experience as Welder from Shipyard or work in any relevant Welding industry.

A key position in the engine department onboard one of the world’s largest Container shipping company where seafarers are onboarded and equipped to perform and contribute to deliver the vessel commitments. Seafarers are trained and guided in achieving their personal development and career advancement. Recruitment Criteria

• Minimum of 12 months sea service experience as Welder
• Working knowledge of spoken English
• Basic knowledge of ISM, ISPS, and security related duties
• Knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Knowledge of Emergency Procedures (Fire-Abandonship-Man overboard-Oil Spill)
• Awareness of Safety meetings, reporting near miss, incidents, accidents
• Certificates compliant to STCW 2010 Manila amendments requirements
• Minimum 12 months experience as Welder from Shipyard or work in any relevant Welding industry. A mandatory additional Maersk Training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Proper use and maintenance of appropriate tools and equipment (e.g., welding machines, pneumatic and electric grinders, power saw, and bench drilling machine)
