Job summary

A leading marine services company in the Philippines seeks a Fourth Engineer with seagoing experience to join their advanced container vessels. This position involves performing engine room watch-keeping duties, assisting in bunkering operations, and ensuring optimal machinery performance. Candidates should have at least 6 months of relevant seatime on vessels with UMS and a minimum 20000 BHP engine size. Qualifications

• At least 6 months of seatime in rank experience on vessels with UMS and minimum 20000 BHP engine size.
• Fourth Engineer with relevant seagoing experience and willingness to be trained.

Responsibilities

• Perform engine room watch-keeping duties when required.
• Assist the Chief Engineer during bunkering operations.
• Ensure that all machinery under responsibility is well maintained for optimum performance.
• Ensure machineries under responsibility are maintained for optimum performance and fuel consumption; report breakdowns.
• Understand the importance of briefing and debriefing to ensure efficient teamwork.
• Ensure work and rest hour planning is done regularly and rest hour compliance is maintained.

Recruitment Criteria

Key Responsibilities

• Perform engine room watch-keeping duties when required
• Perform work routines in his/her area of responsibility and as directed by the Chief Engineer and/or Second Engineer
• Assist the Chief Engineer during bunkering operations
• Ensure that all machineries under his / her responsibility are well maintained for optimum performance and fuel consumption. Report any breakdown, failure or deviation to the Chief Engineer and Second Engineer
• Understand the importance of briefing and debriefing to ensure efficient teamwork
• Ensure work and rest hour planning is done regularly and requirements are complied with. Bring any challenges in rest hour compliance to the attention of the Second Engineer and/or Chief Engineer
