Job summary

MicroSourcing in Cebu, Philippines is seeking a QA Automation Engineer (Web & API) for onsite night shifts to design and execute end-to-end tests across UI, APIs and databases, and to build automated checks with Playwright or pytest.

You will validate AI-driven behaviors, investigate defects using logs and HTTP payloads, and collaborate with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes learning, growth, and career advancement.

Qualifications

• Production web app QA/testing experience with exploratory and regression testing.
• Test across UI, API, database, queues; not browser-only manual testing.
• Experience inspecting HTTP/API requests and application logs.
• Automation using Playwright, pytest, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end functional, exploratory, and regression testing across web UI, APIs, databases, and asynchronous backend systems.
• Validate complex AI agent behaviors, non-deterministic workflows, and background job states across realistic operational scenarios.
• Build and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright, pytest, or fit-for-purpose API testing tools.
• Investigate system defects using browser dev tools, HTTP payloads, database queries, and application logs to produce actionable bug reports.
• Leverage AI-native tools (ChatGPT, Codex, Claude Code, Cursor) to generate test matrices, draft automation scripts, and accelerate root-cause analysis.
