Job summary

MicroSourcing, Cebu, Philippines, is hiring a Software QA Engineer (Automation & System Testing) for hybrid night shift. You will test across UI, API, DBs and backend systems, validating AI behaviors and complex workflows.

Qualifications

• Professional QA/testing experience on production web apps with strong exploratory and regression testing.
• Ability to test across UI, API, database and queues, not browser-only manual testing.
• Experience inspecting HTTP/API requests, status codes and basic logs.
• Proven automation experience or ability to build checks with Playwright/pytest.
• Attention to data quality, privacy, permissions, and failure handling in web apps.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end functional, exploratory, and regression testing across UI, APIs, DBs and backend systems.
• Validate AI agent behaviors, non-deterministic workflows, and background job states in realistic scenarios.
• Build and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright, pytest, or API testing tools.
• Investigate defects with dev tools, HTTP payloads, DB queries and logs; produce actionable reports.
• Leverage AI tools to generate test matrices, draft automation scripts, and accelerate root-cause analysis.
