Emperador Distillers, Inc. (EDI) is seeking a Water Treatment Engineer to ensure the safe and efficient operation of water treatment systems and utilities at Sta. Rosa City, Laguna.

Responsibilities include monitoring water quality, equipment performance, chemical usage, inventories, and coordinating maintenance. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, with bonus for licensure, and at least 1 year in water treatment or manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (licensed preferred).
• 1 year+ experience in water treatment, utilities, or manufacturing operations.
• Fresh graduates with strong academics and internship/OJT welcome.
• Training in Water Treatment, Environmental Compliance or Chemical Handling is advantageous.
• PCO training is an advantage but not required.

• Monitor water quality, chemical usage, inventories, and storage levels.
• Ensure water meets quality standards and take corrective actions.
• Supervise maintenance, repairs, and contractors.
• Prepare work schedules, activity plans, and reports.
• Manage chemical and material requirements and stock levels.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and OSH compliance; report incidents.

JOB TITLE: WATER TREATMENT ENGINEER

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Summary:

Water Treatment Engineer is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of water treatment systems and utilities, including monitoring water quality, equipment performance, chemical usage, and inventories. The role also involves coordinating maintenance and troubleshooting, managing documentation and work activities, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and operate deep wells, ACFs, water softeners, demineralization systems, and distribution pumps.
• Monitor water quality, chemical usage, inventories, and storage tank levels.
• Ensure raw, soft, and demineralized water meet required quality standards and take corrective action when needed.
• Supervise maintenance, repairs, contractors, and equipment troubleshooting.
• Prepare work schedules, activity plans, reports, and department documentation.
• Manage chemical and material requirements, including deliveries and stock levels.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and OSH requirements and promptly report incidents or unsafe conditions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering; preferably licensed.
• At least 1 year of experience in water treatment, utilities, or manufacturing operations is an advantage.
• Fresh graduates with strong academic performance and relevant internship/OJT experience in plant operations may be considered.
• Training in Water Treatment Systems, Environmental Compliance, or Chemical Handling is an advantage.
• Basic Pollution Control Officer (PCO) training is an advantage but not required.

Skills & Competencies:

• Basic knowledge of water treatment systems and plant utilities.
• Understanding of chemical handling and safety procedures.
• Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to monitor equipment, water quality, and operational parameters.
