Far East Industrial Supply & Co., Inc. is seeking a diligent Warehouseman/Material Controller to support a construction project. You will receive, inspect, and document incoming materials, ensuring accurate records and proper storage.
The role requires attention to detail, familiarity with basic inventory procedures, and ability to work with site personnel, suppliers, and drivers, while maintaining safety on site.
About the role
This is a warehouse and material control position supporting a construction project. You will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and documenting incoming project materials, tools, equipment, and supplies, while maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring proper storage and organization of all warehouse materials.
Key responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and properly document incoming project materials, tools, equipment, and supplies
Check delivered materials against delivery receipts, purchase orders, material requests, and other supporting documents
Maintain accurate inventory records of pipes, fittings, valves, steel materials, consumables, tools, PPE, and other project supplies
Properly label, organize, and store materials in their designated areas
Monitor issuance and return of tools, equipment, and materials to project personnel
Maintain a record of all material withdrawals, transfers, and returns
Coordinate with the Site Supervisor, Foreman, Procurement, and Project Engineer regarding material requirements and availability
Monitor stock levels and promptly report low-stock, damaged, missing, or excess materials
Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to prevent damage, loss, or deterioration
Maintain proper housekeeping, cleanliness, and organization of the project warehouse/storage area
About you
At least High School graduate; vocational or college education is an advantage
Experience as a Warehouseman, Storekeeper, Material Controller, or similar position
Preferably with experience in construction, mechanical, piping, industrial, or engineering projects
Knowledgeable in receiving, issuing, storing, and monitoring project materials
Familiar with basic inventory procedures and documentation
Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Word, or other inventory/record-keeping systems is an advantage
Organized, detail-oriented, trustworthy, and responsible in handling company/project materials
Capable of handling or assisting in the movement of materials when required
Able to work effectively with site personnel, suppliers, drivers, and project management
Safety-conscious and willing to follow all project-site safety rules
