A Construction Warehouse Supervisormanages daily warehouse ops (receiving, storing, dispatching building materials), leads a team, controls inventory, ensures strict safety (OSHA/WHS), maintains facility upkeep, handles logistics/paperwork (delivery schedules, stock counts), resolves issues, and ensures materials meet project needs for timely construction. Key duties involve staff training, performance management, KPI tracking, and coordinating with project managers for material flow, bridging site needs with supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Management: Oversee daily receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of construction supplies, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, mentor, and evaluate warehouse staff; delegate tasks and monitor productivity.
- Inventory Control: Maintain accurate stock records, conduct counts, manage stock levels, and resolve discrepancies.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce WHS/OSHA regulations, conduct safety meetings, train on equipment, and maintain a clean, safe environment.
- Logistics & Coordination: Manage inbound/outbound freight, liaise with suppliers, coordinate deliveries, and report on KPIs.
- Documentation: Ensure proper logging, data entry (e.g., NAV system), and maintenance of all warehouse documents.
- Process Improvement: Develop and implement SOPs, workflow improvements, and operational enhancements.
