The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, and dispatch of products.
The position also handles and monitors Purchase Orders (POs), ensuring that incoming goods are properly verified against approved purchase orders, delivery documents, and inventory records.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations and warehouse staff.
- Monitor receiving, checking, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching of products.
- Manage and monitor Purchase Orders (POs) from preparation and verification through receiving and completion.
- Verify delivered items, quantities, specifications, and prices against approved Purchase Orders and delivery receipts.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Finance, and suppliers regarding discrepancies, incomplete deliveries, damaged items, and other PO-related concerns.
- Ensure all received goods are properly documented and recorded in the inventory system.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment based on stock requirements.
- Conduct and oversee regular physical inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate warehouse records, including Purchase Orders, receiving reports, delivery receipts, stock movement records, and inventory reports.
- Monitor incoming and outgoing stocks to ensure accuracy and prevent losses or discrepancies.
- Ensure proper organization, labeling, storage, and handling of products.
- Supervise warehouse staff, assign daily tasks, monitor attendance, and evaluate work performance.
- Ensure orders are prepared and dispatched accurately and on time.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Maintain proper warehouse cleanliness, safety, and security standards.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse and inventory reports.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Identify process improvements that can increase warehouse productivity and reduce errors and operational costs.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Coordinator, or similar position.
- Knowledgeable in Purchase Order (PO) processing, monitoring, and reconciliation.
- Experience in inventory management, receiving, and stock monitoring.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse procedures and inventory control.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other inventory or warehouse management systems.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Good leadership and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to identify discrepancies in inventory and documents.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Willing to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
