Job summary

Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer within Compliance Engineering to design and deliver GenAI-powered solutions for complex regulatory and reputational risks at scale.

You will build end-to-end AI/ML platforms and collaborate with compliance, legal, and product teams, advancing embeddings and RAG pipelines for real-world problems. Production-grade code and robust MLOps are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master/PhD in CS/ML or related field.
• 6+ years AI/ML for Bachelor's/Masters; 4+ years for PhD focusing on Language Models.
• Strong foundation in ML algorithms including transformers, RNNs, CNNs.
• Python and ML libraries: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers, scikit-learn.
• GenAI techniques: RAG, model fine-tuning, prompts, AI agents, evaluation.
• Experience with embeddings and vector databases; MLOps incl. Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, monitoring.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable end-to-end AI/ML solutions for compliance applications.
• Explore model fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and agentic frameworks.
• Develop, test and maintain production-grade code.
• Drive deliverables from design to implementation with strong engineering judgment.
• Collaborate with compliance, legal and business stakeholders to translate requirements.
• Participate in code reviews and promote best practices in AI/ML development.
• Stay current with AI/ML platforms, tools and techniques.
